We continue to get updates and pass them on to those of you who are praying and engaged. We are told the following from inside Egypt where some of our churches are most vibrantly active.
Today (Thursday), things got worse as the Muslim Brotherhood and other Salafis attacked the local police station at the town I am staying at and after a fierce battle under heavy gunfire, they won. They took over the police station and took all the weapons inside it. They released all the prisoners and burnt the place down. The town is now without any police presence and the people are protecting their own houses on their own. Tomorrow (Friday), after the Friday prayer time for Muslims, the threats are scary as they have threatened to escalate and not just attack the churches but also the Christian houses and people. I believe we are in a great need for all the prayers and intercession for protection over Egypt and the Christians in it.
