I have just been with some of the most highly productive and godly people that I know. Since this team of pastors are scattered around the U.S. and are in a minority, they are not often gathered together in one place at one time for fellowship, worship, planning, challenge and encouragement. Of whom am I speaking? The African Heritage Network- a collection of American Free Methodist pastors of racially black African origin. I am blessed to know these godly men and women whose integrity and love for God is as high as anyone I know anywhere.
One thing is clear to me when I speak with this group. We simply must do more to serve and minister to one of the most significant populations in America. I would encourage those of you who know African Heritage leaders to support and encourage them and their work. I would also ask that anyone who knows young men and women of African descent who have a passion for serving Jesus Christ and have leadership gifts to please respond to this blog. We would like to invite them on a journey of ministry with us. Thanks.
